Download Music from MySpace

HOW TO DOWNLOAD SONGS FROM MYSPACE - TUTORIAL

I already have a script which does all of this for you
and you can download songs in a flash by using

But if you want to learn something, read this tutorial step by step.
 

 

Download the Firefox browser download the browser Firefox at GetFirefox.com
I personally suggest you use Firefox as your main browser besides Internet Explorer because its allot safer, faster, etc. But you can just use it to download music from MySpace. If you already have firefox, make sure you upgrade to 3.0 if you have not already. If you have just go to the next step.

Get the Firefox plugin called Firebug
Go to http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843 and click “Add to Firefox”. Once it is done install the plugin , it will ask you to restart Firefox. Go ahead and do that.

This plugin allows you to diagnose WebPages and see what is loading in
the background.

Go to the artist page of which you want to download your music from and enable Firebug
Go to the artist page of the music you want to download from , and click the picture of the bug in the bottom right-hand corner of your Firefox window.

Check all three boxes and click “Enable Panels for www.myspace.com” (or Enable Panels for profile.myspace.com). The page might reload, this is normal.

The next steps are like a race, you have to do these steps in under a minute because the downloads expire every 60 secnods.

Finding the mp3 file of the song
Click the song you want to download (play the song you want to download).
While its playing click “Net” in Firefox

Now it is going to load in the background
and we are going to use Firebug to look at those
packets and download the mp3.

Scroll down towards the bottom of the Firebug panel and look for something that starts with “GET std_” then abunch of numbers and letters. Scroll over it and it should turn into something that looks like the following
“http://www.cache01-music02.myspacedcn” , etc

SHOULD LOOK LIKE THE BELOW IMAGE WHEN YOU SCROLL OVER

Right click on it and click “Copy Location”

Download your song!
Once location is copied go to File > Net Tab and close out of the artist’s page tab. By clicking the “x” next to the tab.

Finally paste in the URL in the tab you just opened by right clicking in the address bar and clicking “paste” .

Once opened click File > Save as and save the file , then close out of your browser. BUT NOT THE DOWNLOAD WINDOW!
